Helen Biangalen-Magata

Helen Biangalen-Magata belongs to the Kadaclan Indigenous Peoples of the Mountain Province in the Philippines. 

She has dedicated the past 15 years in working the field of research, education, and communication specifically on Indigenous Peoples’ rights, climate change, community development, and climate finance. She finished her master’s in development communication from the University of the Philippines Open University on July 2016. 

Helen served as a CSO alternate active observer for developing countries in the Green Climate Fund in 2017 to 2018. She is also part of the newly constituted Indigenous Peoples Advisory Group (IPAG) to the GCF.
