Collectively Addressing and Gathering Lessons on Loss and Damage

UUSC is CJRF’s partner in grantmaking and learning across the Pacific region, focusing on loss and damage. UUSC regrants to local partners in the Pacific and holds space for them to collectively determine and co-designed approaches to addressing loss and damage. Local partners’ work includes protection of traditional knowledge through storytelling, preservation of traditional knowledge through intergenerational dialogue, and litigation at the regional and international levels. UUSC also engages in participatory monitoring, evaluation, and learning with local partners, as well as acts as a bridge to global learning and advocacy in their role as a Regional Learning Partner for the NELD grants in the Pacific region.
