Alonso Quiroz, Communications Associate

Alonso is a social communicator with more than five years of experience training social organizations in strategic communication and managing social projects. He previously worked as an initiatives coordinator in Minga Peru, an NGO that promotes social justice and gender equity in the Peruvian Amazon. There, he led fundraising initiatives, crafted learning and exchange spaces for grassroots organizations in Latin America, and directed the production of institutional videos.

Alonso holds a BA in Development Communication from Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru (PUCP) and was part of the steering committee of the 2022 Social and Behavior Change Communication Summit (SBCC) held in Marrakesh, Morocco.

He likes cooking, going to the theatre, and getting to know people. He is currently based in Lima, Peru.
